The spring performance of the Downey Symphony Orchestra features trumpet soloist Erick Jovel performing Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. This free concert opens with the internationally-acclaimed Downey Overture by Oscar Navarro, and closes with Schererazade, Op. 35 by Rimsky Korsakov. Doors open at 5:30 pm for the audience to view the exhibit of original artwork by local artists.

Downey Arts Coalition is presenting the Healers with its all-star blues band (they stole the show at the OC Festival), along with the legendary Mike Malone’s Vibes Combo (very cool Latin jazz).
